Hamburg, NY---The Lindy Treaty, a two-year-old colt by Conway Hall, out of the Valley Victory mare Peace A Pie, won his $38,562 division of the New York Sire Stakes in 2:01.2 here at Buffalo Raceway Sunday afternoon (June 30). That winning time now goes in the record book along with Timothy Patrick (2012), for two-year-old trotters, here at Buffalo Raceway.

It was the first lifetime start for The Lindy Treaty, who was a $65,000 Harrisburg purchase last year, and is owned by Ray Schnittker and The Lindy Treaty Stables of Middletown, NY.

The Lindy Treaty ($7.20) trained and driven by Ray Schnittker left alertly from post seven, and after Commissioner Daley (Dan Daley) hit the quarter in :30.4, Schnittker put The Lindy Treaty on the lead and never looked back, setting the rest of the fractions in the race, 1:01 to the half, and 1:31.4 to the three-quarters.

A :29.1 last quarter-mile put the winner four lengths in front of second place finisher General Bill Brown (Victor Kirby) at the finish line. Mister Anson (Jim Doherty) came in third.

Another impressive victory was turned in by My Friend Charlie (RcRoyalty-Sand Moxie-Muscles Yankee) who was capably driven by Chris Lems for owner Paul A Fontaine of Woonsocket RI. The George Ducharme trained trotter stopped the timer in 2:01.3, just a tic off tying the track record. It was the first lifetime start for My Friend Charlie ($11.00), who is a homebred for Mr. Fontaine.

The other Sire Stakes winner was Izzy Jokin (RcRoyalty-Graduation Party) in 2:05.2 with driver Chris Lems in the bike.
