HAMBURG, N.Y. --- It was a perfect spring afternoon on Wednesday (March 13) to take a stroll and McNatural L ($3.90) did just that in registering an easy 2-3/4 length victory over Louie The Lilac in Buffalo Raceway's $10,400 featured pace for the fillies and mares.

With clear skies and temperatures in the low 60s, McNatural L took early command of the race and never was seriously threatened.

McNatural L steamrolls to victory.
In the early going, Lil Red Rocknhood took the top spot briefly but McNatural L, who started from the pylons, bounced right back to the lead. Notching fractions of :29.1, :59.0 and 1:27.2 over the fast track, McNatural L (David McNeight III) was waiting for any takers down the stretch but there were none. Instead, she enjoyed the fresh air and rolled to the win in 1:55.4. Louie The Lilac (Kevin Cummings) was a solid second and Anurka (Kyle Swift) third.

Owned by the El Dorado Stables, the 6-year-old McNatural L (McArdle-Natural Paradise) found the winner's circle for the first time in six attempts in 2024. The win bumped her seasonal earnings to $11,370 and $127,900 in her career.

Besides capturing the feature, McNeight III completed the afternoon with two other victories while Jim Morrill Jr. also tripled. Kyle Cummings and Kevin Cummings each had driving doubles.

Samuel Smith topped the trainers with four victories and Tammy Cummings put up two wins.

Racing will continue on Saturday evening at Buffalo Raceway with 14 races set with a 6 p.m. first post.
