There will be five “standalone” handicapping contests in 2023 – Saturday February 25 (thoroughbred); Saturday March 25 (mix); Saturday April 29 (thoroughbred); Saturday May 27 (mix); Saturday June 24 (mix); There will be a $20 entry fee for each contest – limit one entry per person. Each entry receives an individually numbered packet containing ten (10) mythical $200.00 Win wager forms.  For the thoroughbred contests: five (5) of the ten (10) mythical wagers will be accepted on any horse at a NYRA track.  The remaining five (5) wagers will be accepted on any horse at another designated thoroughbred track (to be determined).  For the harness contests: five (5) of the ten (10) mythical wagers will be accepted on any horse at a Buffalo Raceway. The remaining five (5) wagers will be accepted on any horse at another designated harness track (to be determined).  For the dual contests: five (5) of the ten (10) mythical wagers will be accepted on any horse at a Buffalo Raceway. The remaining five (5) wagers will be accepted on any horse at another designated track (to be determined).  Each bet will be a $200.00 Win and a player may bet on more than one horse in the same race, but not the same horse more than once.  In the event of a late scratch, player will be allowed to re-bet but in the case of the last race of the contest day, if a horse is scratched late and contestant does not re-bet or have time to re-bet, the player loses that bet. The top three (3) players in each contest will receive $500, $250, and $100, respectively.

On Saturday July 22, a “Final Contest” will take place by invite only to the top 3 finishers in each prior contest.  There will be no entry fee for the contest on July 22.  Individuals may only have 1 entry in the “Final”. Additionally, there will be a “Consolation Final” for players not eligible for the “Final Contest”. The top (3) players in the “Final Contest” will receive an additional $250, $200, and $100 respectively, for the total cash prize of $750, $450, and $200. The top (3) players in the “Consolation Final” will receive an additional $150, $100, and $50 respectively, for the total cash prize of $650, $350, and $150.
