Hamburg, NY--- Cam Patch, a seven-year old Cambest gelding, out of the Falcon Seelster mare Miss A Kiss, won the $10,000 Open Pace in 2:03.1, in a blinding snowstorm, to make it two Open wins in a row for owners, David P. Ball, and Jerry R. Reinhart, both of Batavia NY, here at Buffalo Raceway Saturday night (January 28). It was the second win this season for Cam Patch, who now has won $160,531 lifetime.
Cam Patch ($5.30), driven by reinsman Shawn Gray, settled in seventh and last, as eventual third place finisher Redford Hall (Kevin Cummings) cut all the fractions, :30.1, 1:00.4, and 1:32. Gray pulled Cam Patch to the outside, just after the three-quarter marker, and circled the field in the stretch to beat Golden Terror (Dan Noble) by three-quarters of a length at the finish line.
Trained by Alex Giuliani, it was Cam Patch’s second win this season, and this year’s earnings now stand at $12,500.
Dan Noble was the top driver on this blustery night, steering home five winners. Noble’s winner’s were, Bad As Billy ($19.00), Gooch’s Bad Boy ($3.70), Nineandivine ($3.40), Doodlebop ($2.40), and Terlingua ($7.10).
