2010 Meet A Success

Hamburg, NY – The 90 day meet at Buffalo Raceway on The Fairgrounds in Hamburg, NY came to a conclusion Sunday, July 25.

Two track records fell this year as two year old Roadside Delight paced in 1:56.3 on July 10 and on June 16 Blacktuxwhitesocks set the mark for three year old colt trotters in 1:58.1. Another record was equaled when All In Tad trotted in 2:02.1 on July 24.

Jack Flanigen returned full time to sulky and came close to eclipsing the 200 win plateau with 197 while earning $781,264 in purses. Kevin Cumming was the runner up for the second straight year with 160 victories.

The top trainer of the seven month meet was Sherri Holliday who was also the 2008 top trainer. Holliday’s horses made 69 visits to the winners circle earning nearly $350,000.

Live racing will return to Buffalo Raceway in January 2010. Simulcast wagering from across North America is available Wednesday through Sunday year round in The Clubhouse.
