Any horse that races on or after November 10 will not have to qualify if that horse races before February 1. However any horse that races after Batavia Downs closes on December 8 will be subject to the 30 day rule. Remember all horses need a preference date in a new year. You get a preference date on the day you first enter or the day you qualify. |

| Qualifiers will be held on Friday. Box for Qualifers close at 10:00 am. |
| Beginning with the qualifiers on Friday January 11, there will be a maximum of 5 races. if there are more than 40 horses entered to qualify each week, they will be 'preference dated' with consideration to those horses that race the highest classes for the first week only. In addition a horse 'scratched' from a qualifier will be given that date. |

Horses that do not make qualifying time in their first attempt do not get that date as a preference date. |
