2012 Qualifying Rule Any horse that races on or after November 12 will not have to qualify if that horse races before February 1. However any horse that races after Batavia Downs closes on December 3 will be subject to the 30 day rule. Remember all horses need a preference date in a new year. You get a preference date on the day you first enter or the day you qualify. |

| Beginning with the qualifiers on January 13th, there will be a maximum of 5 races. if there are more than 40 horses entered to qualify each week, they will be 'preference dated' with consideration to those horses that race the highest classes for the first week only. In addition a horse 'scratched' from a qualifier will be given that date. NO MORE than 4 attempts to qualify at this meet including scratches from qualifiers. |
